Early morning venture out to capture some wave art and this amazing sunrise happened. I was awestruck at the colors and even captured a photo of a beautiful honu crawling his way back into the ocean.

The name says it all. Fast, Powerful and Heavy. Shallow water, as the wave forms, it pulls sand from the ocean floor before it heaves over.

This was a fun image I shot right after sunset in Oahu using a flash. The lip of the wave was illuminated in a way that resembles a caterpillar.
